Terms of Use

1. The Services

Kazispace connects people looking for work with the people and organisations who need it. The Services include:

• Professional hiring: job posts, applications, screening questions, assessments, interviews and offers.
• Local work: service profiles, local tasks, bookings, ratings and reviews.
• Learning: courses, programmes and personalised learning paths.
• Communication: messaging, and notifications by SMS, email and push notification.

We may add, change or remove features over time. Some features are available only on the web or only in the mobile apps.

2. Who can use Kazispace

• You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms.
• If you use the Services for a company or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that organisation.
• You may not use the Services if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms, or if the law prohibits you from using them.

3. Your account

• Provide accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.
• Verify your phone number or email address with the one-time code we send you. Some features are available only after verification.
• Keep one personal account. Do not share, sell or transfer it, or let others use it.
• Keep your password, passkeys and devices secure. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to protect it.
• Tell us immediately at support@kazispace.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

4. Kazispace's role

Kazispace is a platform that helps users find each other. We are not the employer of anyone who finds work through Kazispace, and we are not a party to any employment contract, service agreement or other arrangement between users.

We do not guarantee that you will find work, hire someone, or receive a particular number of applications or bookings. We do not guarantee the identity, qualifications, conduct or reliability of any user, or the accuracy of job posts and profiles. A verification badge means only that we completed the check it describes, at the time we did it.

Users are responsible for agreeing their own terms, meeting their legal obligations, including under labour and tax law, and resolving disputes between themselves. We may help resolve a dispute, but we are not required to.

5. Payments

Kazispace does not currently process payments between users. Employers, clients and workers agree prices and arrange payment directly. Marking a booking as paid in Kazispace only records what the parties tell us. It is not proof of payment.

If we introduce paid features, we will show you the price and terms before you are charged, and those terms will apply in addition to these Terms.

6. Employer and client responsibilities

If you post a job or local task, or book a worker, you agree to:

• post only genuine, lawful opportunities you intend to fill, with accurate descriptions of the work, pay and conditions;
• never ask candidates or workers to pay to apply, be hired or start work;
• not discriminate on any ground prohibited by law;
• use candidate and worker information only to recruit or engage them for the opportunity in question, keep it confidential, and handle it in line with data protection law;
• check the screening questions, assessments and automatic shortlist or reject settings you use, and remain responsible for your hiring decisions;
• provide a safe working environment and treat workers with respect.

7. Candidate and worker responsibilities

If you apply for work or offer services, you agree to:

• describe your experience, skills, qualifications and rates truthfully;
• complete assessments yourself, without outside help unless the assessment allows it;
• attend the interviews and bookings you accept, or cancel with reasonable notice;
• carry out work safely, competently and as agreed.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• post fake, misleading or fraudulent jobs, profiles, reviews or other content;
• use the Services for scams, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour or any other illegal activity;
• harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
• impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your connection to one;
• collect other users' personal data, contact them for purposes unrelated to the Services, or send spam;
• scrape or harvest content from the Services by automated means without our written permission;
• interfere with the Services, get around security or assessment integrity controls, or introduce malware;
• reverse engineer the Services or access them other than through the interfaces we provide, except where the law allows it.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your profile, CV, photos, job posts, messages and reviews ("Your Content"). You give Kazispace a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt (for example, to fit different screens or languages) and display Your Content to operate and improve the Services, in line with our Privacy Policy. The licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for content already shared with other users or that we must keep by law.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to share Your Content, and that it does not break the law or these Terms. We may review, refuse or remove content we reasonably believe breaks these Terms.

10. Ratings and reviews

Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on your own experience of the work. Do not offer or accept anything in return for a review, and do not review yourself or a competitor. We may remove reviews that break these Terms, but we do not edit what they say.

11. Assessments and automated features

Some features use automated tools and AI, such as CV reading, match scores, summaries and learning recommendations. Their results can be inaccurate or incomplete, so check them before relying on them. Employers may use proctoring during assessments, which records the integrity events described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive the messages needed to run the Services, such as verification codes and updates about your applications and bookings, by SMS, email and push notification. You can turn off optional messages at any time. Your mobile operator's standard charges may apply.

13. Intellectual property

The Services, including our software, design, logos and the Kazispace name, belong to Kazispace or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not use our name or logos without our written permission.

14. Third-party services

The Services may link to or rely on services we do not control, such as video meeting links and app stores. Their own terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Services at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@kazispace.com.

We may suspend, restrict or close your account, or remove content, if you break these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for Kazispace or other users, or if the law requires it. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

Sections that by their nature should continue after your account closes, such as those on your content, liability and disputes, continue to apply.

16. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or the accuracy of content provided by users. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kazispace is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, earnings, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the Services.

Kazispace is not liable for the acts or omissions of users, including the work performed, pay owed, or anything that happens during an interview or booking.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Kazispace in the 12 months before the claim and RWF 100,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Rwandan law, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.

18. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Kazispace for claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that arise from your breach of these Terms, from Your Content, or from your dealings with other users.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. If a dispute arises, contact us first at support@kazispace.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may take it to the competent courts of Rwanda.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If a change is significant, we will tell you through the Services, by email or by SMS before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated Terms.

21. General

• These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Kazispace about the Services.
• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it.
• You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
• These Terms are written in English. If a translation differs, the English version applies.
