The University of Kigali (UoK) is one of Rwanda’s premier private institutions of higher learning, renowned for academic excellence, innovation, and a strong commitment to producing globally competitive graduates. Established in October 2013 after receiving its definitive operating license, UoK is fully accredited and chartered by the Government of the Republic of Rwanda.

From a humble beginning with just 35 students, the University has grown into a vibrant academic community of over 9,000 learners as of December 2025, representing more than 35 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. This incredible diversity demonstrates our dedication to internationalisation and delivering world-class education.

UoK operates across three campuses:

1. Kigali Main Campus – Prestine House, Gasabo District, near Kigali Heights, just 3 km from the city centre

2. Musanze Campus – Located in the prestigious RSSB Building, Northern Province

3. Remera Campus – The newly opened modern campus, home to the School of Business and innovation-driven learning spaces
